"SHOCK INVASION" (Anti-Human)

After discovering his neighbor is also immune to the red shock, they team up and set course for an underground military base. Traffic filled roads are impassable, forcing them to set out on foot as they try to fend off the massive alien forces that roam the wasteland. "SHOCK INVASION" (Anti-Human) QUESTION AND ANSWERS: June 5th, 2010

Q: Why is it called Shock Invasion?

FSudol: The alien life forms attacking the planet use their membranes to emit a Red Flash, which paralyzes everyone in range. With it, they invade and take over the earth. It's more descriptive than its co-title, "Anti-Human", and so that's the reason for the title.

Q: This is a cartoon, but is it for kids?

FSudol: It's a cartoon geared for ages 17 and up. It contains an oversaturation of animated blood and gore, though it's mostly aliens that take the beating. There's also some curses thrown around by some of the characters, considering it's the end of the world and all in the movie. Shock Invasion, Dead Fury, City of Rott, none of them are for kids, even though they're cartoons. Think in terms of cartoons such as South Park, Family Guy and so on. Though these probably aren't as funny, depending on your sense of humor. Shock Invasion is actually the first of the three that drops a lot of the comedy sensibilities, though there is some humor here and there, but it's not a horror/monster/comedy, like Dead Fury was going for.

Q: Why does Ruford put up with Ral for so long during their adventure?

FSudol: Ruford is a good guy who knows no amount of harsh comments can bring him down, despite being overweight and slow. He's a war veteran, and has been through many tough times in the past. He knows Ral is stressed out with the end of the world and all, so he tolerates Ral's aggravation. He also knows he's immune to any negative comments, as he doesn't base his self-worth in what others think of him.

Q: Why are there so many different types of alien monsters?

FSudol: The Aliens have captured the fiercest beasts from their home planet, and trained them to be loyal, seek out mankind and wipe them out, while leaving enough food piles to be collected for the long trip home. This is a monster movie, so I wanted to add enough variety of creature types. My favorite monster would be the flying dragon-like beast. I also like the Death Pods a lot, as they remind me of zombies a little, in that they're large in numbers, and meat eaters. Their tentacles are sharp and piercing as well. Then there's the Dog Beasts, the Turtle Goliath, the Slug Spitters, the Alienoids, the Raptor army, and more.

Q: Do Ral and Ruford ever reach the underground base and if so, do they destroy the invaders?

FSudol: You'll have to watch the movie to find out.

Q: Why is Shock Invasion the last Cut Out Style Film from BlackArro Productions?

FSudol: The technology I was using was very limited. With a college degree in Computer Animation and Fine Arts, I want to expand my talents and really show what can be done with my computer animation skills. I'm more than excited with the developing 4th film, which will take things to another level entirely. I hope to have it ready by 2012.

Q: Is there just as much gore in Shock Invasion as there was in City of Rott?

FSudol: I wanted to go back to the action packed style of City of Rott, so yes, you can expect tons of blood and guts as Ral and Ruford blast their way through the invading monster and alien forces. There are some new gore effects too to keep an eye out for as well. I wanted to end the cut out trilogy with a gory finale.

Q: What about the soundtrack? How would you describe it this time?

FSudol: When I first saw the movie "BLADE", with Wesley Snipes, and how it featured pulse pounding music to go along with the action scenes, I was floored. Most of the time, you'd expect theatrical orchestra music (which is fine), but Blade more or less broke those rules and delivered an awesome experience thanks in part to the rockin' music tracks. So with that in mind, I've added my favorite tunes to Shock Invasion, which get better as the film progresses. But music is subjective, so if you're not a fan of grinding industrial melodies, at the very least, the music pounds away to the action. It's actually my favorite soundtrack next to "City of Rott" for the first three films from BlackArro Productions studio. If I wasn't an artist first, creating music would be my second choice as a career. But art is first.

Q: When is Shock Invasion going to be on DVD?

FSudol: Shock Invasion is still on the table for DVD, but I won't make you hold your breath, as it probably won't happen in 2010. I would really like to do a trilogy DVD pack, combining all three movies onto one DVD if possible in the future. But that's a long ways off. I'm also eager to see how digital downloads can do in today's digital age of entertainment. Of course having a fast connection to the internet helps, so dial up's won't have as many opportunities as high speed internet users to download more movies. Honestly though, I always prefer a solid disc to a digital copy on a hard drive. This way, if the computer goes haywire or crashes, your movie is safe and intact on a DVD/ Blu Ray disc.

Q: Does good old Fred Figiero make an appearance and what about Max Bludharte?

FSudol: Max is back, this time playing the role of Ral Foster, an aggressive, take no crap weapons technician trying to discover the mystery of his immunity to the red shock. And yes, Fred makes a special appearance later in the film. I couldn't leave him out, as you can tell by the cover poster of Shock Invasion, considering this will be his last role in the Cut Out style of films. He won't be back for awhile though.

Q: Anything you'd like to say about Shock Invasion before you go?

FSudol: If you enjoyed the carnage and gore in City of Rott, I think you'll like what's in store for Shock Invasion. Picture City of Rott with monsters, zombie like hordes of Death Pods, aliens and action, but with a more focused storyline. It was made right after Dead Fury and completed earlier this year. Since that time, I've been hard at work learning what makes a good story, screenplay, pacing and so on for the 4th film. But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy the bloody action in Shock Invasion, the final film in the Cut Out style gore series. Thanks for reading. -Frank
